How to use this site
Welcome to our web site.
The site has been designed to provide information about co‑operatives - from those who simply want to know what a co‑operative is, to those who want to know how to start a
co‑operative or perhaps to join an existing co‑operative.
The answer to each of these questions is a journey of discovery.
To get the best out of the site you need to become a registered user. Registering with the site will enable you to access additional content, and if you are a member, our members only area. Registering will also offer you a more personalised experience from our front page, as you will be able to choose what content you see, in what order, by clicking the "Choose Content" button.
Our web site will in time become the portal by which our members will be able to access information and services over the web. If your co‑operative is a member please take time to register now as this will enable us to tell you about new content and functions on the site as we develop them.
As with any other web site you can use the search engine to locate content. Additionally, to help us organise content and enable you to find it, we have also developed a series of Miniwebs. Our Miniwebs are small subject based web sites written and published by
Co‑operativesUK, with links to other webs sites.
In 2008 we entered into a Knowledge Transfer Partnership with Salford University. Our partnership with the University will help us to build a collaborative environment on the web using Web 2.0 and social networking technologies.
