| Since the project started there has been a substantial amount of work done on case studies, and these have been finalised for use as a tool on the project. The case studies look at different examples of businesses working together for different purposes and give details of business activity, structure and age. Delivery partners use these examples to demonstrate how potential collaborative groups might work together to achieve their goals, and what the pitfalls and difficulties in the process might be. Case studies are available on the Resources page. |

We have also done a substantial amount of work on the succession element, looking into the difficulties and solutions around taking over a business, whether it be by the community or the employees. A specialist guide for business advisors and development workers has been produced, and a toolkit for non-specialists is now available (see Resources ). |
Dissemination
Throughout the project there have been seminars delivered
both locally and nationally, with a national conference in November
2003 in conjunction with the Plunkett Foundation. The final key event was a
fringe meeting and exhibition stand at the Labour Party Spring Conference in
Manchester in March 2004.
We have produced free information packs - updated in February 2004 - for co‑operative and business support agencies nationwide, and these will also be available to download from the Resources section of this website shortly.
