Development Toolkit

Based on extensive research in the social economy sector, the G&P Project has produced a Development Toolkit. The Toolkit is a software application, and is free to all development professionals working across the the social economy sector.

All participants attending any one of the free seminars will obtain a free copy of the Development Toolkit, along with other project resources. To check where and when seminars will be held, click here.

The Development Toolkit includes:

Governance Section: 

Governance "Select-a-structure" interactive questionnaire - this section enables users to work through a series of questions to arrive at the most suitable structure for the group.

Legal forms - provides an overview of all the different types of legal forms available to groups and their characteristics. 

Organisational Types - provides an overview of a range of organisational types and their characteristics. 

Participation Section 

Participation Stock-take - enables users to evaluate their own mechanisms and resources for participation, and provides ideas on how to improve participatory governance.

Participation Methods - an inventory of tools and mechanisms to improve participation in an organisation, and guidance on good practice and considerations. 

General 

Frequently Asked Questions - a comprehensive question and answer section for a range of governance and participation queries. 

Case Studies - over twenty case study examples of how different organisational types have incorporated participatory governance within their own organisations.

Links - a list of resources of websites and organisations which can provide further help and guidance.

Publications - a list of publications and other resources which can provide further help and guidance.
