Board and management
We are governed by an elected Board of Directors that is drawn from representatives of every section of our membership.
The day to day business is managed by the Chief Executive who is accountable and reports to the Board of Directors, and a small management team comprising David Coulter, Deputy Chief Executive; Phil Holmes, Finance Manager; and Helen Barber, Secretary and Head of Legal Services. Our Annual General Meeting is held at the end of June during Co‑operative Congress. Members at the AGM ratify any important decisions made by the Board that would have a significant impact on our members, such as agreeing the rule book that is our governing document or signing off our Annual Report.
